Eve Elliott Parker

Evelyn “Eve” Elliott Parker, age 49, a native of Beaufort County, died Saturday, October 22, 2016, at her home in Birmingham, Alabama.

A homecoming celebration of Eve’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Elliott Family Cemetery on Creek Road in Bath, conducted by Pastor Brian Oliver.

Eve was born in Beaufort County on April 11, 1967. She was the daughter of Betty Gurganus Elliott and the late David Horace Elliott Sr. Eve was a 1985 graduate of Bath High School and later graduated from Wake Forest University, where she was a member of the Fidele Society. After college, Eve lived in Washington, D.C. for a number of years, during which time she worked for the late Congressman Walter B. Jones Sr.

She married Rodney Parker and relocated to his home state of Alabama where she was currently residing.

Eve is survived by her husband, Rodney and son, Adam Elliott Parker as well as a stepson, Brett Parker; her mother, Betty Gurganus Elliott of Bath; her two sisters, Grace Elliott Whitley and her husband Bobby of Washington and Robin Anne Elliott Boyd and her husband Dalmon Boyd Jr. of Bath; a brother David Horace Elliott II and his wife Amie of Bath, along with their families.

The family will receive friends at the home, 1390 Creek Road, Bath, any time prior to the service. The family invites friends to a reception at the home immediately following the service. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held at Athens Chapel Church of Christ, Bath.
