The Washington Yacht & Country Club’s 19th hole was a great setting for the Washington (evening) Rotary Club on Thursday night. The club gathered with spouses to celebrate their annual charter member night. This is a time the club sets aside to reflect upon their history and invite special guests with ties to the club.

President David McLawhorn called the meeting to order and welcomed members and guests. Bill Wall led in the Pledge of Allegiance and Russell Smith gave thanks for the meal. After a fine meal, Bill Wall took a few minutes to reflect upon many of the club’s accomplishments over the past year and offered a heartfelt thanks to members for their hard work. The evening Rotary Club is proudly celebrating its 96th year in service to humanity. President McLawhorn called on song leader Bartow Houston to lead the group in singing a few old favorites. Most sang, all laughed. The evening came to a close as members recited the Four Way Test of the Things We Think, Say and Do.
