Janice Marie Cox Foreman

Ms. Janice Marie Cox Foreman, age 71, a resident of Bath, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at Vidant Pitt Hospital in Greenville. Janice was born July 9, 1945, to the late Lucy Mae Stocks Cox and James Calvin Cox Sr. She was a graduate of Bath High School and later married her life partner Charles Oliver Foreman Sr., who preceded her in death in 2013. Janice worked for many years for Samson Shirt Factory as a seamstress and later for Fountain Power Boats in the upholstery department. She was also a past member of Saint Clair’s Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Greta Marie Foreman Compton of Salisbury; four sons, Timothy Dale Foreman Sr., of Bath, Curtis Lee Foreman, of Gold Hill, Charles Oliver Foreman Jr., of Villa Rica, Georgia, and Hugh James Foreman of Washington. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Calvin Cox Jr., of Washington; and one sister, Joyce Cox Watson, of Plymouth.

A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the cancer center of the donor’s choice. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E, Washington, has been given the honor of being entrusted with serving the Foreman family.
