From Beaufort County Choral Society

These are the final days before Saturday’s first Community Sing of Handel’s Messiah, hosted by Beaufort County Choral Society at the Turnage Theatre in Washington.

If singing, the fun starts at noon on stage with registration, followed by rehearsal until 5 p.m., a break, and then returning at 6 p.m. for the concert at 7 p.m. For those coming to hear the concert, doors open at 6:45 p.m.

It all happens in just one day.

There’s a lot going on in town on Saturday, with the morning parade, open houses and shops, and a party for the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association in the front of the Turnage. Don’t be confused! Come right on through to the auditorium and stage.

Registration is $20, and the book is $10. Singers must have the particular book being used.

The Community Sing is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.
