Pocosin Arts is participating in the Town of Columbia’s Rivertown Christmas weekend festivities with two great events.

Resident Artist Holiday Sale | Friday, Dec. 2 – 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Pocosin Arts’ Resident Artists invite you to attend a gallery reception at 202 Main St. in Columbia. Visit with the artists Ben, Laurel, Meaghan and Tenisha about their new works of art and find the perfect handmade gift. Also, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine or beer and some holiday cheer. For more information call 252-796-2787. This event is free and open to the public.

Soup, Salad and Shag Social | Saturday, Dec. 3 – 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Pocosin Arts invites you to enjoy an evening of dinner, dancing and the opportunity to purchase handcrafted items. Dinner selections include three soups, two salads and an assortment of desserts, prepared and served by Ollie Inglis from Somerset Farm in Edenton. Handcrafted bowls and other works created especially for this event are provided by seven North Carolina artists. After dinner, Lenny and Annette Peaden of the River City Shag Club will have you up and dancing after instruction on the basics of the Carolina Shag.

Dinner, dance and social reservations $30 each.
