From Agape Health Services

Agape Health Services would like to welcome Shawn Desmond, RN, MSN, CPNP, to its caregiver staff. Desmond has an extensive medical background and is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care, is a registered nurse, nurse practitioner and is certified in basic life support.

She received her bachelor’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then obtained her associate degree in nursing from Lorain County Community College in Ohio. Desmond returned to North Carolina for her bachelor’s degree in nursing, which she received from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Desmond comes with great experience in the pediatric field including well and sick child care, psychiatric and behavioral health services for ages birth through 21. Desmond will begin seeing patients at Agape Health Services in Washington and Williamston on Jan. 16, 2017.
