Columbia Pharmacy is holding a blanket drive to help warm the dogs at the Tyrrell County Shelter, pharmacist Kirstin Bradley has announced. “New or used blankets are welcome!”
The Tyrrell County Animal Shelter on Smith Lane south of Columbia is not enclosed, therefore the animals are exposed to the brutal winter temperatures and winds, she explained.
“Please consider helping this holiday season,” Bradley said.
Columbia Pharmacy is at 214 Main St. The store is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday.
