Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Handsome in his shiny as patent-leather, black coat our Chuck is friendly, playful and smart. At 1 year, 6 months old, this Labrador retriever-mix is a large and active boy. This breed is known to be good with children, and Chuck will do best with an active family with owner(s) willing to give him basic obedience training, consistent exercise in a fenced area or on leash and their love and attention, and a good forever home.
