Mr. Larry Wayne Chrismon, age 74, a resident of 127 Abbey Lane, Washington, died Monday, February 13, 2017 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice of Greenville.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Everetts Church of Christ, Pinetown, officiated by Dennis R. Davis. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Donald Cutler, James Everett, Jerry Boyd, Gene Jordan, Lloyd Chrismon and John Ward.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

Mr. Chrismon was born in Beaufort County on August 30, 1942, son of the late William Paul Chrismon and the late Lotta Dixon Chrismon. On November 22, 1968 he married the former Clara Virginia Boyd who survives. He was a 1960 graduate of Bath High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Chrismon worked at Giant Food Store in Richmond, VA, Newport News Ship Yard in Virginia and Long Electric Motor Repair of Plymouth, before working thirty-six years and retiring from Weyerhaeuser of New Bern. He was a member of Orr Lodge #104 AF & AM Masonic Lodge of Washington, a lifetime member of Chapter 48 Disabled American Veterans of Washington, VFW Post 6088 of Washington and Everetts Church of Christ.

Mr. Chrismon is survived by his wife Virginia “Ginny” and son Jason Scott Chrismon of the home; a daughter: Paula Jeanette Chrismon of Washington; two brothers: Lloyd Terry Chrismon (Derenda) of Washington and Donald Ray Chrismon (Katrina) of Pinetown; a sister: Sandra Chrismon Alligood (Donald Lee) of Washington; and two sisters-in-law: Mildred Chrismon and Joyce Chrismon.

He was predeceased by three brothers: Norman Earl Chrismon, Thomas Elwood Chrismon and Gary Dwight Chrismon.
