Those seeking further information and/or adopting a pet listed here should inquire at the Beaufort County Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Due to overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Smokey

Sleek, well proportioned and trim in her shorthair coat of dark slate gray, this 1-year-old female, is a sweetheart of a Russian blue-mix. Possessing huge, mesmerizing golden eyes and a personality of a friendly,inquisitive, calm and gentle, all-around great cat, Smokey will make a wonderful addition in a variety of good forever, loving home settings.

Bubbles

This 10-month-old, Labrador Retriever-mix is a smart, gentle, friendly, mellow fellow of medium size. Handsome with a shorthair coat the color of ripening wheat, Bubbles will do well in a variety of good forever-home settings with owner(s) willing to give him love, care, playtime, exercise in a fenced area or on a leash and a little basic obedience training.

Bubbles will not be available for adoption until Monday. Paperwork for his pending adoption may be filled out on Saturday by multiple interested parties and will be handled chronologically on Monday.
