Roberta Ann Rider Taylor, 81, passed away February 21, 2017 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville, NC. Mrs. Taylor was born on July 16, 1935 in Norfolk, Virginia and resided in Baltimore, Maryland the majority of her life. Since 1995, she has resided on Glovers Lane in Washington.

She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Washington.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Roy R. Taylor; and daughter, Connie Taylor.

She is survived by her sons, Roy R. Taylor Jr., of White Marsh, Maryland, William Taylor and wife, Karen of Spokane, Washington, and John Taylor and wife, Denise of Washington, North Carolina; sisters, Wilma Stammer of Maryland and Paula Slagle of Virginia; four grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Washington. Family will receive friends at FUMC immediately following the service.
