FFA chapters receive Farm Bureau grants

Student leaders from the FFA chapters of three area high schools made presentations in the Beaufort County Farm Bureau small grants program. Each chapter described its activities, financial needs and manner in which the requested grant would be put to use. Beaufort County Farm Bureau awarded each chapter its exact requests of $500 to aid the Future Farmers in their activities and advance the Farm Bureau mission of promoting agriculture. The participants were also reminded of the April 3 deadline for the Beaufort County Farm Bureau County Scholarship, Young Farmer and Rancher Scholarship and Sasnett Memorial Scholarship.
