Ruth Nethercutt Beaman, 94, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017. A native of Greene County, she was born on January 29, 1923 to Levi Lafayette and Emma Mae Carraway Nethercutt. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rom William Beaman Jr.; granddaughter, Beverly B. Muegge; sisters, Viola N. May, Beadie Mae N. Suggs, Pearl N. Harvey; and brother, Willie Nethercutt.

Her surviving family includes children, Bobby Beaman and wife, Inez, Rom W. “Billy” Beaman III and wife, Jennifer, Stephen L. Beaman and wife, Donna, Deborah B. Harper and Rip Respess, Carol B. Windley and husband, Larry; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Sisters-in-law are Ann Beaman Hedgepeth and Mary Wynne Beaman.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Free Union FWB Church, 2573 Firetower Road, Walstonburg, NC, followed by interment at Snow Hill Cemetery.
