Beaufort County Community College welcomed students, staff and alumni from 1967-1969, for a statue dedication Wednesday in honor of the college’s 50^th anniversary. Lead welding instructor Ted Clayton worked with his students to create the work of art for seven years. It includes scenes of fish, an osprey circling its nest and a great blue heron. The statue is named “Life on the Pamlico.”
