Mrs. Geraldine Mills Taylor, 76, of Grimesland, was gently placed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel by Rev. Joe Ange of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Chocowinity. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Taylor was born on August 9, 1940 to the late Herbert and Annie Ruth Mills. She was a member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Chocowinity. On October 25, 1957, she married George R. Taylor Jr., and was a 1958 graduate of Grimesland High School.

She worked for Singer Furniture Company for 25 years and later retired from Fountain Power Boats in 2000. She enjoyed gardening, which showed in her landscape for her love of flowers. To her family, Mrs. Taylor was a loving wife, mother, “Nana,” grandmother and friend to all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Mills Arnold and husband, James; and a brother, Herbert Allen Mills Jr.

She is survived by her: husband of 60 years, George R. Taylor Jr.; son, Randy Allen Taylor and wife, Rhonda, of Chocowinity; daughter, Laurie Ann Respass and husband, Tommy, of Bath; two grandsons, Robert and Dusty Respass, of Bath; granddaughters, Ashley Braddy and husband, James, of Battleboro, NC, and Brianna Wiggins, of Chocowinity; sister-in-law, Gracie Mills; one niece and several nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
