Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.
The shelter will be closed in observance of Easter this weekend and will reopen Monday.

Maggie
Handsome in her American shorthair coat, this tabby girl is dressed in colors of creamy tan with ebony stripes. Pristine white shows on her chin area and near her rosebud nose; huge, captivating hazel eyes complete this pretty picture. Friendly and loving, 1-year-old Maggie loves sweet talk, being petted and attention. Chica
At approximately 2 years old, this large, American pit bull-terrier mix is a smart, friendly, attractive girl with a brown and white shorthair coat. It’s evident that Chica’s playful: she loves squeaky toys and during her test with other dogs, she did great! A sweet dog who wants attention and love, Chica deserves a good, loving forever home where she can be a faithful companion with owner(s) willing to give her affection, care, exercise in a fenced area or on leash, and basic obedience training.
