$100,000 of heroin seized in Martin County

On Tuesday, officers with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, along with agents from the North Carolina SBI/ALE, executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence located on N.C. Highway 125 in the area of Williamston. The search warrant was the result of an investigation conducted by the above listed agencies and took place over the last four months.
The following items were seized during the search of the residence: numerous items used to package/prepare heroin; an estimated $45,000 in cash; an estimated ½ kilogram of heroin (a street value of approximately $100,000).
At this time there are two suspects in custody. The investigation is still ongoing, and officers are continuing to conduct interviews and collect additional items of evidence. Any new information will be distributed in the form of additional press releases.
