Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Samuel Buck Jr., age 42, a resident of Blounts Creek, and a former resident of Summerville, SC, died peacefully Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his residence on Tranquility Lane. Tommy was born September 11, 1974 to Barbara Jean “Jeannie” Jones and Thomas Samuel Buck Sr. in Charleston, SC. He attended school in Summerville and was a 1992 graduate of Summerville High School. Tommy also received his bachelor’s degree from Beaufort County Community College with a degree in electronics and electrical engineering. He had worked with Scout Boats in South Carolina and PCS of Aurora. Tommy loved cooking, fishing, hunting, and had a great love for the water. He also loved to make people smile.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his children: Analynsy Elizabeth Buck, Thomas Samuel Buck III, Elijah Scott and his friend and former wife, Teresa Ann Silverthorne, all of Washington, grandmother, Elsie Jones Fields of Blounts Creek, and stepmother, Susan Buck and her son Allen Rascoe of Ahoskie, NC. He was predeceased by one brother, Bobby Ray Buck in 2012. He was also predeceased by his stepsister, Allison Gayle Rascoe Conner. A graveside celebration of his life will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 23, 2017, officiated by Pastor David Linton at the Lewis Family Cemetery, Stilley Town Road, Blounts Creek. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E, Washington, has been given the honor of being entrusted with serving the Buck family.
