Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Suzanne

Stunning in her American shorthair coat, this gorgeous cat is dressed in sparkling white and tabby stripes of apricot and pale orange.

Two-year-old Suzanne — with huge, captivating amber eyes — is friendly, loving and adores attention and being petted. She is already spayed and ready to go, after a reduced fee is paid. When given the love, warmth and stability of a good forever home, Suzanne will blossom into a devoted friend, pet and companion. Rose

A happy girl that wants to love and please, that’s our approximately 10-month-old terrier, Pit Bull-mix. Friendly and smart, Rose, is a medium-size, attractive girl with a shorthair coat of butterscotch brown and soft white accents. A sweet girl, Rose loves people and their attention. Rose is already spayed and ready to go, after a reduced fee is paid, to owner(s) willing to give her their time, attention, love and exercise in a fenced area or on leash, and basic obedience training, in a good, loving forever home — where she can be a faithful companion and pet.
