Cookie Peyton, 73, of Williamston, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 following a brief battle with lung cancer.

With her passing, Cookie will fulfill her final wish to donate herself to The Body Farm through the University of Tennessee at Knoxville Forensic Anthropology Center. The family is planning a private memorial celebration in the gazebo at Martin Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving evening visits in Cookie’s Corner at the home of her son, 1375 Thurman Griffin Road in Williamston.
