B.J. McKee

B.J. (Billy Jack) McKee was born in Brady, TX. He grew up in Galveston. In 1954, he graduated from Howard Payne University.
After pastoring churches in TX, he had an exemplary 24-year career as a Chaplain in the U.S. Navy. At retirement, he returned to pastoral ministry at First Baptist Church, Washington (1982-1987), and then Baskerville, VA, before returning to TX in 2003. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Joyce Lee McKee. He is survived by his three daughters and their families: Sheri Lee McMillan of Duncanville, TX, Robbie Hackworth of Powder Springs, GA, and Terry Eubanks of Vienna, WV; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Addie Mae White of Marble Falls, TX.
Memorial service will be July 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., at Wilshire Baptist Church, 4316 Abrams Rd., Dallas. Interment for B.J. (and Joyce) will be at Forest Park East, in Houston, TX, with military honors.
