Hyde County Schools is pleased to announce that the 2017-18 Teacher of the Year Interview Panel has made a decision regarding the District Teacher of the Year. The panel interviewed candidates from each school, including Mary Gill from Mattamuskeet Elementary School, Rebecca Gallaher from Ocracoke School and Melody Williams from Mattamuskeet Early College High School. After much deliberation, the panel chose Williams to serve as the 2017-18 District Teacher of the Year. Congratulations, Mrs. Williams! The panel would also like to extend congratulations to the other two schools’ TOYs for their hard work and dedication!
