Mr. Billy Wayne Weathers Sr., 79, of Grimesland, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10:30 am in Pinewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Weathers was retired from the United States Air Force and a Vietnam veteran. He was employed with RubberMaid Company.

He was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Jesse Weathers and his parents, Jesse Cleveland and Gladys Bartlett Weathers.

He is survived by his: wife of 55 years, Marsha Lanier Weathers; son, Billy Weathers and wife, Debbie, of Pinetown; daughter, Marcie Southward and husband, Andy, of Greenville, NC; sister, Pannette Wilson and husband, Buddy, of Cordele, GA; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
