Charles T. Flowers

Charlie Tycious Flowers, 69, 35236 of Hwy 264, Engelhard, died, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Vidant Greenville Hospital after a short illness.

Born in Beaufort County, NC on February 24, 1948, he was the son of the late Ronald and Arlie Gibbs Flowers. He was married to the former Linda Clayton who survives.

He remained a native of Hyde County all his life. Charlie graduated from Mattamuskeet High School in 1967 and Wilson Technical College in 1969. His love in high school was basketball which he played all four years.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at the family plot in Fulford Cemetery. Pastor Jerald Craddock and Steve Bryan will officiate

Surviving are his three children; Donna F. Eakes and husband Jay of Engelhard, Charlie “Ty” Flowers, Jr. and wife Taylor of Cape Carteret and Jillian Berry of Greenville; five grandchildren; Brooke, Matthew and Zac Eakes and Tenley and Jack-Ryker Flowers and a brother, Harold Lee Flowers and wife Kathryn of Manteo.

He was preceded in death by a brother Michael D. Flowers.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter and other times at the home of his daughter, Donna Eakes, 256 Lazy Lane, Engelhard, NC 27824
