Mr. Todd David Downs, age 48, a resident of Washington, NC died Thursday, August 3, 2017. Todd was born March 7, 1969 in Johnson County Missouri to Elrita Beach Downs and the late David Michael Downs who preceded him in death in 1997. He was a graduate of Washington High School and Appalachian State. On March 7, 2009 he married the love of his life, Sherri Carmady Downs, who survives. Todd retired from DSM after 21 years of service. In addition to his father he was predeceased by his brother, Scott Downs in 1999. Surviving in addition to his wife include his mother Elrita Downs of Washington, NC, two daughters; Emily Madison Downs of Greenville, NC and Alexis Nicole Kelly of Clayton, NC and one son, Cameron J. Warren of Clayton, NC. Also surviving are three grandchildren with one on the way and a niece, Brittany Downs of Buies Creek, NC. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Falcon’s Children’s Home Inc, PO Box 39, Falcon, NC 28342. A private celebration of his life will be held at First Baptist Church of Washington, NC. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 East, Washington, NC has been given the honor with being entrusted with serving the Downs family.
