Line Dancing

It is healthy because the exercise in this 1-hour session is moderate and gentle, but it is also just plain fun. It improves memory while you learn various dances, and you will enjoy getting ready for weddings and other social events. Participants will learn 20 dances. This $30 class offers sessions in the morning and evening, with morning classes taking place Mondays from 10-11:30 a.m. and evening classes taking place Mondays from 6-7:30 p.m. Both morning and evening sessions will begin on Sept. 11. Morning and evening intermediate classes will run at the same times starting Oct. 23.

Tai Chi

Wake up and stretch using this ancient Chinese exercise art. This class meets two mornings each week to give you sessions of gentle stretching and breathing. Instructor Eric Humphries will walk the class through the “8 Essential Pieces of Brocade” which constitute Tai Chi. This $50 class runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-10 a.m. One session will begin Sept. 11. A second, fall session will begin Oct. 30.

It will not take long for couples to master the basic steps and at least six fun moves. Dance etiquette will be part of the instruction. After this class, couples will be ready to confidently join in at many social events. This $50 class will start on Sept. 12 and run every Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. An intermediate session will run at the same times starting Oct. 24.
