Mrs. Faye Cordon Allen, age 86, a resident of 7893 NC Hwy. 99 S, Pantego, died Tuesday morning, August 15, 2017 at her home.

A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven, officiated by Phillip Paul. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery. Brock Allen, Eric Allen, Ryan Bell, Kevin Bell, Drew Bell, Chad Elliott and Seaton Sawyer will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Allen was born in Beaufort County on May 23, 1930, daughter of the late Thad Walter Cordon and Myrtle Ross Cordon. On January 7, 1951, she married William Felton Allen Sr. who preceded her in death on November 19, 2001. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and working in her flower garden. Mrs. Allen was a member of Wenona Church of Christ where she was the pianist, sang in the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her four children: William “Rocky” Felton Jr. and wife Paula of the Wenona Community, Pamela Lynn Allen of the home, Karen Bell and husband Roland of Pantego and Phyllis Elliott and husband Wade of Roper; her eight grandchildren: Brock Allen and wife Robin, Eric Allen, Chad Elliott and wife Jennifer, Ryan Bell and wife Georgia, Kevin Bell and wife Ashley, Drew Bell, Amber Mills and husband Ryan and Seaton Sawyer and wife Starr; her five great-grandchildren: Ava Allen, Brent Elliott, Haley Elliott, Kain Elliott and Wade Thomas Elliott; and her sisters: Maggie Cordon Credle and husband Mayo of Bath and Betty Barber of Belhaven. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by an infant daughter: Debra Jean Allen; two grandchildren: Jason Allen and Bryce Elliott; two sisters: Marie Burbage and Valerie Scott and her brother: Thad L. Cordon.

The family will receive friends 7:00-8:30 PM on Thursday at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven and other times at her home.
