PLYMOUTH — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and agents with the State Bureau of Investigation searched the property at and around 776 Alligood Road, Creswell, this past week looking for clues in the disappearance of Craig Swain,
missing since Feb. 3, 2008.
Following a tip that Swain’s body was buried at that location, the SBI brought in cadaver dogs and East Carolina University’s anthropology team to locate any evidence of Swain’s body. New leads were developed during the search and are being actively pursued.
Swain was last seen at a 2008 Super Bowl party on Jones White Road in Creswell.
Two residents of the property were arrested Aug. 24 by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. David Lewis Jr. was arrested for selling narcotics and David Lewis Sr. was arrested for possession of firearm by a felon.
The missing persons investigation is ongoing.
