Nancy J. (Davis) Niemi, 84, of Greenville, NC, passed away on September 8, 2017.

A memorial service will be conducted on Friday at 11 am in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place in Bruce Crossing, Michigan.

A native of Grass Valley, CA, she was the daughter of Agee B. Davis and Marjorie A. Scanlan.

Nancy resided for many years in East Windsor, Connecticut, where she retired as an insurance agent and stockbroker. Nancy resided in Trout Creek, MI before settling in North Carolina. She was a member of Oakmont Baptist Church, where she attended the Messengers Sunday school class. She also enjoyed writing stories with the East Carolina Lifelong Learning classes.

Nancy was preceded in death by her brother James Davis, her beloved husband Eino “Slim” Niemi, and by her former husband Edward J. Krpata Jr.

She is survived by their three children: Steven (wife Rebecca) of Pinetown; Thomas (wife Linda) of Holliston, MA; and Richard of Coventry, CT. Nancy also leaves three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to Oakmont Baptist Church, 1100 Red Banks Road, Greenville, NC 27858.
