Laura Beth Dunn Toler

Laura Beth Dunn Toler, age 37, a resident of 3094 West Barr Road, Chocowinity, passed away after a long battle with autoimmune disease, at East Carolina Heart Institute at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville on Friday, September 15, 2017.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Washington Assembly of God in Washington, officiated by Rev. Daniel Haskett. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the church and other times at the home in Chocowinity.

Laura was born in Pitt County on May 4, 1980, the daughter of the late Donald Gray Dunn and Beth Mills Dunn. She was a member of Haw Branch Church of Christ and had attended Harvest Church. Laura had worked with the Army Corps of Engineers and the Washington Eye Clinic as an optical technician. Farming was a great love of hers and she worked for Lewis Warren Family Farms Inc., where driving tractors became one of her greatest passions. Laura was a lover of life, gardening and spending time outdoors. Her love for her family, especially that for her children, was closest to her heart.

Laura is survived by her mother: Beth Mills of Chocowinity; her grandmother: Phebie Mills of Chocowinity; her grandmother: Audrey Dunn of Chocowinity; two daughters: KaLynn Toler and Ellie Mae Toler, both of Chocowinity; a son: Trent Barber of Chocowinity; a brother: Stephen Dunn of Milledgeville, GA; a sister: Doni Jo Pflomm and husband Ray of Camp Lejeune, NC; a nephew: Isaac Pflomm of Camp Lejeune; a niece: Taylor Dunn of Milledgeville, GA; and special friend Josh Grant of Washington. She was preceded in death by her father Donald Gray Dunn, her maternal grandfather Marvin Mills and fraternal grandfather Fred Dunn.
