Guy Gene Biddix

Mr. Guy Gene Biddix, age 79, a former resident of Pheasant Drive, Washington, died Friday, September 15, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Burial will follow In Oakdale Cemetery.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Chris Biddix, Mark Biddix, Scott Biddix, Timothy Biddix, Dail Biddix and Anthony Biddix. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Biddix, Joseph Biddix, Blake Biddix, Thomas Wierzbowski and Michael Wierzbowski.

Mr. Biddix was born in Spruce Pine, N.C. on September 27, 1937. He was the son of the late Willard George Biddix and Ressie Eller Hensley Biddix. Mr. Biddix was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was a retired print master for Singer Furniture. As a youth, Mr. Biddix loved to play the guitar. In his spare time, he loved watching westerns on TV, the beach and the mountains.

On November 26, 1960, Mr. Biddix married the former Margaret Cresawn, who preceded him in death, January 6, 2006.

Mr. Biddix is survived by his sons, Chris Biddix (Karen) of York, PA, Mark Biddix (Christine) of Aurora, Scott Biddix (Cheri) of Washington; grandchildren, Andrew Biddix, Sarah Biddix, Blake Price, Timothy Biddix, Joe Biddix, Dail Biddix, Anthony Biddix; step-grandchildren, Thomas Wierzbowski, Michael Wierzbowski and daughter-in-law, Kim Arthur.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Biddix was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Biddix; great-grandson, Greyson Lee Biddix; brothers, Carl Estel Biddix, Willard Hickey Biddix Jr., William Steve Biddix, Charlie Mack Biddix; and sisters, Nila Mable Biddix, Melda Biddix, Phoebe Biddix and Kate Biddix.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
