The Beaufort County Community College Library is excited to present wildlife photographer Shanon Shuler-Gaskins as part of its “Community Voices” series, a monthly program featuring talents from across the spectrum, including artists, business owners and authors.
Shuler-Gaskins has photographed nature and wildlife locally and across the country for the past five years. Shuler-Gaskins enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, searching for adventures with her husband and living life to the fullest. She is passionate about protecting the environment and wildlife she photographs, and she hopes to use her photography as a way to give back to these causes.
Her work is on display in the BCCC Library in Building 5. On Oct. 3, she will present a slideshow of her work from 5-6 p.m., and she will be available for questions and discussion.
In September, the Library hosted Roy Armstrong, the pioneering editor of “Life on the Pamlico,” BCCC’s online multimedia publication dedicated to preserving oral tradition from the region.
