John Bruce Clark

Mr. John Bruce Clark, 67, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Duke regional Hospital in Durham.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 am in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel.

Bruce was born and raised in Pitt County graduating from Stokes/Pactolus High School. He volunteered to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict where he was shot and was awarded two purple hearts. John loved reading, fishing and NASCAR racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Lancaster “Spooky “Clark and Mattie Lawrence Holliday Clark.

He is survived by his: wife of 31 years, Denise Wall Clark of Blounts Creek, NC;

daughter, Carrie Holliday Clark Alcock and husband, Titus, of Winterville, NC;

grandchildren, Noel Anderson, Jazmine Anderson,and Ethan Alcock; brother, Mike Clark and wife, Paula, of Dallas, TX.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 – 7 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 4400 Corey Road, Winterville, NC.
