MAKING A DIFFERENCE: On Sept. 15, the Mothers Ministry of St. John Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, donated backpacks to the Beaufort County Department of Social Services for the care of foster children. As the children leave their homes for foster care, they will often leave with minor necessities and utilize trash bags to transport their belongings. The Mother’s Ministry purchased backpacks for both boys and girls in an effort to support this cause. Items were included in each backpack that were deemed helpful to children on a daily basis.
