Ms. Carol Foster Gregory, age 79, a resident of 25 Paula Lane, Bath, died Monday, October 2, 2017 at her home.

A celebration of life will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Bayview Community Church in Bayview, conducted by Pastor Dennis Barber.

Ms. Gregory was born in Beaufort County on August 14, 1938. She was the daughter of the late John B. Foster and Effie Florence Meekins Foster. Ms. Gregory worked at Roses store in Belhaven. Later, she worked making gill nets for her family and local fishermen. In her spare time, Ms. Gregory enjoyed coloring and watching CNN and the Jewelry Channel.

Ms. Gregory is survived by her son, Bert Gregory Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Bath; two daughters, Michelle G. Ayers of Washington, Angela G. Allen and her husband, James of Panama City, FL; brother, Julius Foster of Bath; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Gregory was preceded in death by son, John Gregory Sr.; and a sister, Marie Meekins.
