Mr. William “Roy” Boyd, 82, of Greenville, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 22, 2017, after a strong fight with cancer.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 4 PM in the Winterville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Boyd was an HVAC Instructor at Pitt Community College for 24 years. Prior to teaching at Pitt Community College, Mr. Boyd worked at Riddle Brother’s in Greenville. He also served as a deacon at Belhaven and Winterville Missionary Baptist Churches where he loved serving for his church family and was the leader of weekly family night suppers. He was also President of the Quail Ridge Home Owner’s Association and a proud Veteran of the Air Force.
