The Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility will be closed Nov. 10-11, in observance of Veterans Day.

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Diamond

A gem and not in the rough — that’s our precious Diamond. A medium-small size and approximately 1 year old, this brown/white Boxer-mix girl, (former listed as a bully mix), may be a little shy at first, but give her a little love, attention plus treats and watch her thaw. Diamond needs owner(s) willing to work to gain her trust, in addition to love, exercise in a fenced area or on a leash, and basic obedience training. When given a good, loving, truly forever home, she will flourish into the faithful companion and pet that she is meant to be.

For more information, visit www.facebook.com/ENCShelterDogs. Diamond’s ID is No. 1871. Pay her a visit — she’s available through next Saturday at the shelter.

Pocohantas

Gorgeous in her American longhair coat, this noble tabby lady is dressed in colors of the palest apricot, buff, cream and white; accents of ebony flicker and dance on her face and throughout her body. Her huge pale green eyes and a rosebud nose complete her stunning image. Two-year-old Pocohantas is a large cat, and she’s calm, friendly, loving and adores attention. When given the love, warmth and stability of a good forever home, she will blossom into a devoted friend, pet and companion. For more information on this stunning cat, visit www.facebook.com/EncShelterCats/. Pocohantas’ ID is No. 1881.

Come in and meet her; she is available at the shelter.
