Bruce Andrew McGee, or “Andy,” died on October 21, 2017 at Grant Hospital in Columbus Ohio. He was 54. He was born in Ft. Carson, Co. on January 8, 1963.

Andy graduated from High School in Lawton, Oklahoma and entered the Navy in Virginia. Then he worked as a security guard.

After an auto accident, he went to Woodrow Wilson Rehab in VA, where he met and married Mary Êtter. They resided in Richmond, until her death at which time he moved to Belhaven. Andy was a cashier at Martha’s thrift store in Belhaven for several years until he was confined to Cross Creek Health Care Center in Swan Quarter, NC, then Heath Nursing Care in Heath, Ohio.

Andy is survived by his father, Irwin Bruce McGee (Brenda) of Zanesville, Ohio; a sister, Melanie Arthur (Daniel) of El Cajon, Ca. and a brother, Brian McGee (Cindi) of Cullman, Alabama. He is survived by 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Alessandra McGee.

A memorial service will be held at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7:00 PM.
