Mr. Andrew Mason “A.J.” Jarvis, age 24, a resident of Hwy 92 East Washington, died Thursday, November 16, 2017. A.J. was born June 8, 1993 to Karen Cutler Jarvis and William “Billy” Jarvis in Washington. A.J. attended Northside High School and Beaufort County Community College. He was a member of Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ in Washington. A.J. was preceded in death by his grandfather, William E. Jarvis Sr. A.J. is survived by his parents, Karen Cutler Jarvis and William “Billy” Jarvis, both of the home; one brother, Cameron Jarvis of Washington; his maternal grandparents: Betty and Walter Cutler of Washington; and his paternal grandmother, Hazel Jarvis of Morehead City, NC. A celebration of his life will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 19, 2017 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor Eddie Gurganus officiating with the following will serve as pallbearers: Gray Burbage, Petre Franks, Jeremy Martin, BJ Allen, Coby Woolard and Harold Cutler Jr. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Service and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Shelter, 3931 US Hwy 264 East, Washington, or other animal related rescues.
