Herbert James Haislip, 82, of Claude Green Road, Robersonville, NC, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Ridgewood Manor in Washington. He was born in Beaufort September 10, 1935 to the late Daniel and Francis Holliday Haislip and was predeceased by his wife, Bernice Hopkins Haislip; sister, Ruth Bryant and son Jack Haislip. Herbert was a member of Grace Family Fellowship and attended Hamilton Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. He was a carpenter by trade and loved his work and fishing.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Marvin Warfe will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until service time.

Survivors include his daughter, Bernice Hardison (Gary) of Robersonville; sons, James Haislip of Robersonville, Daniel Haislip of Grifton; sisters, Mary Mobley, Ellen Harrison, Brenda Congleton, all of Washington; brothers, Roy Haislip of Robersonville, Danny, Chris and Gordon Haislip, all of Washington; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
