Mrs. Jacquelyn “Jackie” Tarkington Boyd, 82, of Greenville, also affectionately known as “Nana,” passed away unexpectedly at Vidant Medical Center on Monday, November 20, 2017.

A memorial service was held Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 4 PM in the Winterville Baptist Church. Burial will be private at a later date.

Mrs. Boyd was born in Belhaven, North Carolina on April 2, 1935 to Joseph “Ralph” Tarkington and Sibyl Andrews Tarkington. She was a loving homemaker for her husband and four children. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William “Roy” Boyd.
