Amelia “Sis” Smithwick Davenport, 72, of U.S. Highway 17 North, Merry Hill, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Vidant Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Merry Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Stanley Nixon will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor and from the home at other times. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home of Windsor.
