Mr. Gregory “Greg” Marion Cooper, age 56, a resident of Washington, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at his home.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at First Free Will Baptist Church of Washington officiated by Pastor Todd Parrish. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 1 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the church.

Greg was born in Wilson County on May 1, 1961, son of the late Carlton “C.B” Beverly Cooper, Sr. and the late Nelda Grace Cullipher Cooper. He was a 1979 graduate of Washington High School and continued his education at Louisburg College where he earned his associate’s degree. On July 2, 1995, he married the former Sidney Richelle Warren who survives. Greg was the co-owner/co-operator of Rainbow Landscaping/Advantage Property Maintenance. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Washington.

Surviving along with his wife Sidney of the home are four children: Ethan, Waylon, Mollie and Winston Cooper all of the home; a brother: Carlton Beverly “Bev” Cooper, Jr. (Margaret); a niece: Emily Purser; mother-in-law: Ramona G. Ball (Lee); father-in-law: Charles H. Warren, Sr. (Elaine) of Asheville: sister-in-law: Samantha W. Moore of Washington; brothers-in-law: Charles H. Warren, Jr. of Medford, Oregon, and Casey Warren of Asheville; uncle and aunt: Talmage & Frances Cooper of Pantego.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 901 N. Bonner St., Washington, NC 27889 or to ALS Carolina Chapter, 1425-113 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.
