Lola “Jackie” Sawyer Brickhouse, 96, of Columbia, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Vidant Bertie Hospital in Windsor. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Sound Side Missionary Baptist Church, Columbia, with Reverend Stephen Duncan, Reverend Earl Hartley, Dr. Jeff Crabtree, Reverend Timothy Hayes and Reverend Joe Wynns officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Sound Side Missionary Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
