Roger Duane Nobles went to God peacefully, surrounded by family, in Bath, on Jan. 19, 2018, at the age of 64.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park by Pastor Chuck Coburn. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Duane was born on Sept. 30, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, to Mary and Joe Nobles. He was a proud soldier of the U.S. Army for 14 years and served with the 2nd Cavalry Division and 3rd Armored Division. Duane retired from East Carolina University and worked many years as an operations manager with LPL Financial in San Diego, California.

Duane was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Foskey Nobles; his brother, Donnie Nobles; and his father; Joseph Lawrence Nobles.

Duane is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cheryl Nobles; two loving brothers, Garry Nobles and Arnie Nobles; two sons, Todd Nobles and Donny Nobles and wife Marsha; a niece/daughter, Danielle Hines; and three grandchildren, Charlotte Nobles, Michaela Nobles and Todd Nobles, Jr.
