Mr. Jimmie B. Beavers, 81, of Washington, went home to be with his Lord on Feb. 1, 2018.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Beavers, a native of Beaufort County, had lived in the Wilmar community most of his life. He loved working on the farm with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper B. and Lottie Adams Beavers. He is survived by: a brother, Jasper T. Beavers and wife Peggy, of Vanceboro; sisters, Ada Gray Chandler, of Chocowinity, Syble B. Parker and husband Benton, of New Bern, and

Phyllis B. Buck and husband Kenneth, of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Gorham Swamp Church, 1584 NC-102, Chocowinity, NC 27817.
