Mr. Rex Jansen Bowser, age 73, a resident of the Cypress Landing Community, Chocowinity, and formerly of Olney, Maryland, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center. Rex was born April 7, 1944, to the late Jane Gearon Bowser and Harold Seton Bowser in Englewood, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Yale University and retired from the Department of Energy in Germantown, Maryland, where he worked with health and safety. Rex is survived by his wife, Maryln L. Saxman, of the home. A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown St., Washington, NC 27889 or the charity of the donor’s choice. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations is honored to serve the Bowser family.
