Charlie Ray Godley, 65, of Chocowinity, passed away Feb. 8, 2018, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. Charlie was born in Greenville, to the late Leon Godley and Ada Moore. He has lived in Chocowinity for the last 40 years. He enjoyed spending time at The Dairy Palace and drinking coffee with friends.

Charlie is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Shirley Fornes.

He is survived by his sisters, Annie Coward and Hilda Lamanze; brothers, Tommy Godley and Sidney Godley.

The family is following Charlie’s wishes and there will be no services.
