Daniel Elliott Lupton, 76, of Bath, North Carolina, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. He was born on June 21, 1941, in Sladesville, Hyde County to Phillip Dalton Lupton and Gladys Fisher Lupton. He graduated from Washington High School. He worked at Texas Gulf and retired in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Viola Edwards Lupton, of the home; his two daughters, Jennifer Marie Roy, of Washington, and Christie Lupton of Fleetwood, North Carolina; and a son, Quent Elliott Lupton, of New Bern. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Elizabeth Brame, of Chocowinity; and he is survived by a sister, Mary Elaine Harris, of Hickory, and a brother, Ronald Travis Lupton. He is survived by his grandchildren Jessica Roy Cannon, Ethan Staten Roy, Haley Allyn Roy, Samantha Rivers Warren and Lennon Ruby Lupton. It was Danny’s request that his body be donated to science to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. There is no service planned at this time.
