Vidant Beaufort Hospital recently donated $193,512.02 to Beaufort County for the purchase of a bariatric ambulance to add to its fleet of EMS vehicles to support emergency needs in the county. This purchase will decrease response times, improve patient outcomes, enhance proper treatment and transport for all patients within the 911 system, and provide an additional level of safety to county EMS personnel.
“We are glad that we can financially support this need that has been identified by our County EMS,” said Harvey Case, president of Vidant Beaufort. “Providing emergency care for our community is part of our mission to improve the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina.”
“We are extremely grateful for the hospital’s financial support in the purchase of this new ambulance. We value tremendously the partnership we have with them as we work together to provide high quality emergency care to the residents and visitors of Beaufort County,” said county Manager Brian Alligood.
